Welcome to Ares AI ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are deeply committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). This policy is designed to comply with global privacy standards and the specific Data Safety requirements of the Google Play Store.

2. Prominent Disclosure regarding Microphone & Audio Processing

Microphone Access: The core functionality of Ares AI is to transcribe and summarize live meetings. To achieve this, the App requests explicit permission to access your device's microphone.

• How it is used: Audio is captured locally during a live recording session that you actively start.
• How it is processed: The audio is streamed securely in real-time to our third-party transcription partner (Deepgram) to convert speech to text. We do not permanently store the raw audio files on our servers.
• Your control: The microphone is only active while you are on the Live Meeting screen and have actively pressed the record button. You can revoke microphone permissions at any time via your device settings.

3. Data We Collect & Data Safety

To provide our services, we securely collect and process the following data:

• Account Information: We use Firebase Authentication to securely manage your login. We collect your email address and a chosen display name when you register. Passwords are securely hashed by Google Firebase and are never visible to us.
• Meeting Data (Transcripts & Summaries): The text transcripts generated from your meetings, along with the AI-generated summaries, are transmitted over a secure HTTPS connection and stored encrypted at rest in Google Cloud Firestore. This allows you to sync your meeting history seamlessly across your devices.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous crash reports and basic analytics to improve the stability of the App.

4. Third-Party Services

Ares AI relies on trusted third-party providers to function. These services have their own stringent privacy and security standards:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore): Used for secure user logins and encrypted database syncing. Read Firebase Privacy Policy
• Deepgram: Used to provide real-time, high-accuracy audio-to-text transcription. Read Deepgram Privacy Policy
• Google Gemini / OpenAI: Used to generate intelligent meeting summaries from the raw text transcripts.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, transcripts, or meeting summaries to any advertising networks or data brokers.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You maintain full control over your data. We retain your meeting transcripts and account details only for as long as your account is active.

How to delete your data:

• In-App: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data by navigating to Settings > Delete Account inside the App. Initiating this action immediately and permanently purges your authentication records and all meeting history from our Google Cloud Firestore database.
• Via Web/Email: If you no longer have access to the app, you may request complete account and data deletion by emailing us directly at devsaraf@example.com from the email address associated with your account. We will process your deletion request within 14 days.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Ares AI mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must uninstall the App immediately.

2. User Conduct & Consent to Record

As a user of Ares AI, you are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the App complies with all local, state, national, and international laws regarding audio recording and privacy.

• Two-Party Consent Laws: You expressly agree that you will obtain the necessary consent from all participants in a meeting or conversation before using Ares AI to record and transcribe them, in accordance with applicable wiretapping and privacy laws in your jurisdiction.
• Prohibited Uses: You may not use the App for illegal surveillance, harassment, sharing highly classified or legally protected confidential information (such as HIPAA-protected health data), or any other malicious intent.

3. AI Disclaimer and Accuracy

Ares AI utilizes advanced artificial intelligence (LLMs) to transcribe audio and generate summaries. However, AI is not perfect. We do not guarantee the 100% accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any transcript or summary.

You agree that you will not rely solely on Ares AI's transcripts or summaries for critical legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions. You should always manually verify important information.

4. Intellectual Property

The Ares AI application, including its original code, features, algorithms, branding, logos, and UI designs, are owned by Dev Saraf and are protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the App's source code without explicit written permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be completely error-free, secure, or operate without interruptions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Ares AI, its developer, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or reputation, arising from your use of the App, your reliance on AI-generated transcripts, or any unauthorized access to your account.
